De inschrijvingen zijn gesloten! Het hek naar de velden gaat maandag open om 10.30, het is vanaf dan ook gelijk mogelijk om je aan te melden. Om 11.30 start het toernooi en we mikken erop om de finale om 17.00 uur te spelen. Rond die tijd starten we ook met het avondeten!
Een korte uitleg van het Palentoernooi
Voor de meeste mensen is het Palentoernooi van EKVA een begrip. Maar heb je nog nooit meegedaan aan het Palentoernooi? Geen zorgen – we leggen je graag uit hoe het werkt! Of je nu een kersvers lid bent, een nieuwsgierige ouder of gewoon zin hebt in een gezellige dag vol korfbalplezier: dit toernooi is voor iedereen!
Wat is het Palentoernooi eigenlijk?
Het Palentoernooi is een echte EKVA-traditie en vindt ieder jaar plaats op tweede pinksterdag, dit jaar is dat 9 juni 2025. Vroeger was dat met Pasen, maar door de frisse temperaturen is het naar het voorjaar verplaatst – wel zo lekker met het zonnetje erbij!
Hoe doe je mee?
Je speelt het toernooi in duo’s: jij en een partner vormen samen een team. Je moet je dus altijd aanmelden als duo. Of je nu speelt met je teamgenoot, je buurvrouw of zelfs je kind – alles mag! Let op: je wordt ingedeeld in een leeftijdscategorie op basis van de oudste deelnemer. Dus speel je als ouder samen met je kind, dan kom je uit bij de senioren. 😄
Hoe werkt het spel?
Elke wedstrijd duurt 10 minuten waarbij je na 5 minuten van kant wisselt. Je neemt om de beurt een schot vanaf de aangegeven lijn:

En dan weer opnieuw! Zo wissel je steeds netjes af. Na 10 minuten is het simpel: het duo met de meeste doelpunten wint.
Hoe ziet de dag eruit?
Eerst speel je poulewedstrijden. Later begint het echte werk met een knock-outfase: wie wint, gaat door. Wie verliest, kan lekker relaxen, aanmoedigen of genieten van het eten en het zonnetje. ☀️
Aan het einde van de dag kronen we onze beste schutters in de jeugd én senioren. Een mooie eer voor de scherpste schutters van de vereniging!

What is the Palentoernooi?
The Palentoernooi is a true EKVA tradition, taking place every year on Whit Monday (the day after Pentecost Sunday on the 9th of June). It used to be held during Easter, but we moved it a few months later for warmer weather and more sunshine!
How do you join?
You participate in duos – you and a partner form a team. You always sign up as a duo. You can pair up with anyone: your teammate, a neighbor, or even your child! You’ll be placed in a category based on the age of the oldest player. So if a parent joins with a child, you’ll compete in the senior group.
How does the game work?
Each match lasts 10 minutes. You switch sides after 5 minutes. Players take turns shooting from the designated line:

And repeat! After 10 minutes, the duo with the most goals wins.
What does the day look like?
At first, you play group matches. Later on, it’s knock-out time: if you score more than your opponent, you move on. If you lose, you're out – but free to enjoy the sun, cheer for others, or grab a bite to eat. ☀️
At the end of the day, we crown the top shooters from the youth and senior categories – a great honor for the best sharpshooters in our club!
